OUR MISSION STATEMENT AND HISTORY
It is the mission of Wings of Hope Equitherapy to provide equine-assisted activities to children and adults with unique physical, mental and emotional challenges.
Our Core Purpose is to provide hope and healing through gentle horses and the love of God.
In 1996, the vision for this non-profit equestrian therapy program was laid on the hearts of Margaret Dickens and Patti Pace. The vision to provide therapeutic horseback riding instruction to children and adults with various disabilities became reality, and the ministry of Wings of Hope Equitherapy was born.
Thanks to generous individuals, corporations, and foundations who opened their hearts to the vision, Wings of Hope's facility stands today
Over twenty years later, Wings of Hope Equitherapy is a Premiere Center fully accredited by PATH (Professional Association of Therapuetic Horsemanship) International, which was established in 1969 as North American Riding for the Handicapped Association. All our instructors are PATH certified, and have extensive experience with both horses and riders with disabilities.
Located just south of Fort Worth, we serve clients from Tarrant and Johnson Counties who range in age from 3 to 78, and the barn continues to be filled with the contagious smiles and laughter of the riders, volunteers, and families, and resonates with our core values of Christian compassion, integrity, accountability, hope and healing.
